Tech Mahindra has appointed Sham Arora as its new Chief Technology Officer. Arora brings over three decades of experience in technology for banking and financial services, most recently serving as Chief Information Officer and Global Head of Enterprise Technology at Standard Chartered. Based in Singapore, he led several major initiatives at the bank, including public cloud integration, API gateways, data center operations, and IT service management. His new role at Tech Mahindra will focus on driving technology-led innovation, improving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth across the organization.
Before his most recent position, Arora held several senior roles at Standard Chartered since 2003, including CIO for transaction banking, payments, and core banking systems. He also previously worked at Tata Energy Research Institute, Stock Holding Corporation, and Citibank. His appointment comes as Tech Mahindra seeks to strengthen its technology strategy amid broader changes in the financial services sector. Arora's experience in executing large-scale digital transformation projects and his ability to align technology initiatives with business goals are expected to play a key role in the company’s ongoing growth efforts.
