Boku Names Leila Kassner as New Chief Operating Officer

Boku, an international platform for localized payment services, has announced the promotion of Leila Kassner to Chief Operating Officer, expanding her responsibilities to include oversight of global operations and decision-making processes. In her new role, Kassner joins the senior leadership team and will focus on improving operational efficiency and supporting Boku’s growth strategy. Since joining the company in 2014, she has held key positions across partnerships and has led teams managing relationships with major clients such as Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Netflix. Her appointment follows the company’s recently reported financial results, which showed a 20% increase in group revenue to $99.3 million and over $12.4 billion in processed transactions.

CEO Stuart Neal emphasized the importance of promoting internal talent, citing Kassner’s deep understanding of the business and her proven track record. Kassner expressed, “As COO, my focus will be on advancing our transformation by optimising operations, enhancing efficiency, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional value to our growing, global customer base. Having had the privilege of managing the global partnerships team and consistently delivering outstanding results for our customers, I look forward to contributing to Boku’s next chapter in this new capacity.” With over 87 million active users connected to merchants through Boku’s platform, Kassner’s leadership aims to sustain the company’s upward momentum and improve service delivery.
