Volopa has appointed James Radford as its new CEO, marking a significant step in its expansion within the B2B payments industry. Radford brings extensive experience in financial services, having held leadership roles at American Express, HBOS, and Lloyds Banking Group. He has also served as COO of Aldermore Bank and CEO of the UK’s Cheque Clearing Company, where he contributed to the digital transformation of cheque processing. Most recently, he was CEO of Revolut UK, overseeing a period of growth, and later led Lycamoney’s financial services division. At Volopa, Radford will work closely with the leadership team to expand business payment solutions and enhance financial services.
Under Radford’s leadership, Volopa plans to introduce new business payment solutions, strengthen compliance measures, and improve security for international transactions. Radford highlighted Volopa’s combination of advanced technology and human expertise as key differentiators in the financial services market. He emphasized the need for transparent and flexible payment solutions, positioning Volopa as an alternative to traditional banks.
