Tradeweb Markets, an operator of electronic marketplaces across rates, credit, equities, and money markets, has appointed Sherry Marcus as Head of Artificial Intelligence. In this newly created global role, Marcus will report to Chief Technology Officer Justin Peterson and lead the next phase of Tradeweb’s AI strategy. The company aims to strengthen its use of AI in areas such as price discovery, dealer selection, and analytics to support over 3,000 clients across institutional, wholesale, retail advisory, and corporate segments.
Marcus comes to Tradeweb from Amazon Web Services, where she led a 300-person science and data team responsible for Amazon Bedrock, a generative AI platform designed for enterprise clients. Her earlier experience includes senior AI roles at BlackRock, Millennium Partners, and Credit Suisse. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from MIT and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University. She currently serves on several advisory and academic boards, including the Allen Brain Institute and the NYC Gen AI Council.
