Visa Names Antony Cahill as CEO of European Operations

Visa has appointed Antony Cahill as Regional President and Chief Executive Officer for its European operations, pending regulatory approval. Cahill assumed the role succeeding Charlotte Hogg, who left the company after eight years. Hogg played a key role in expanding Visa’s presence across major European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Her leadership helped grow revenue, market share, and regional teams, establishing a strong foundation for Cahill to build upon.

Cahill brings over two decades of experience in financial services, including leadership roles at National Australia Bank and ANZ. Since joining Visa in 2018, he has served as Managing Director and later Deputy CEO of Visa Europe. Most recently, he led the company’s Value-Added Services division, turning it into a $9 billion business with strong annual growth. Visa CEO Ryan McInerney cited, “With Antony’s experience in the region, deep understanding of the diversity and complexity of our markets and strong relationships with our partners, he is uniquely qualified to lead Visa Europe.”
